Technical Data Sheets Fabrics for Coating Fothergill Engineered Fabrics (FEF) recognises the criticality of the surface characteristics on fabrics for use in the coating with PTFE and Silicone. It has over many years developed techniques which allow for the production of fabric with very low levels of filamentation and effectively crease free. In addition it has a system of weaving using unsized yarns which upon coating result in a light creamy homogeneous appearance which is relatively stripe free in plied constructions. Fothergill has the capability and equipment to weave a wide range of styles and fabric weights. The following list is only representative of our capabilities and we will be pleased to offer fabrics of all types in widths up to 3600mm (141.5 inches) Recently added to the weaving facility is a complement of new air-jet weaving looms with a width capability of up to 2100mm (83.0 inches). In addition the latest technology sizing equipment has been installed to service this facility which gives the conventional sized appearance to these newer singles woven fabrics which are filament free in their production.
