TYGASIL - Woven Silica Fabrics

Tygasil woven silica fabrics are designed for continuous use at temperatures of up to 950°C and will withstand much higher temperatures for short periods.

Typical Applications Welding spatter protection, stress relieving blankets, flexible connectors, furnace curtains, cable and hose protection, gasket materials, valve covers.

028 finish is a special abrasion resistant finish available on Y0539 only. Fabrics can be offered in preshrunk form (003 finish) subject to a minimum order quantity.

Other finishes available on request include:
  • Elastomeric coatings e.g. Neoprene, Silicone rubber
  • Aluminum foil/film facing
  • Tyglas VC (031) grey aluminised coating
  • Self adhesive tapes
Tygasil is also available in knitted form combining the excellent high temperature characteristics of the woven fabrics with good insulation properties .
