Technical Data Sheets Materials For Defence And Protection Aramid Laminates - L0 Series / L4 Series L0 Series Description Semi-rigid thermoformable multi-layered panels of aramid fabric produced in different weights and thickness' to give protection against a wide range of threat levels, when either used on their own or in conjunction with other materials. Physical Properties These materials have been designed as semi-rigid ballistic laminates, hence physical properties are not applicable. The laminates can be curved by the application of dry heat at a temperature of 150°C. Applications Insert plates: L0 laminates used in conjunction with ceramic tiles will upgrade soft body armour to defeat high velocity rifle threats. The thermoformable properties enable the laminate to be curved fit the body contours. Vehicle Protection: As primary armour against hand gun and sub-machine gun rounds.
